Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation and the director of media and publicity in the campaign organisation of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has met his bail conditions but still being held by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), his media aide, Jude Ndukwesaid.
The EFCC had charged Fani-Kayode alongside Nenadi Usman, a former finance minister, and Danjuma Yusuf with a 17-count charge bordering on unlawful retention, unlawful use and unlawful payment of money to the tune of N4.9 billion.
They were arraigned before a federal high court, sitting in Lagos, and consequently granted bail on July 4 to tune of N250 million.
In a statement issued on Monday, July 11, Ndukwe said the former minister is “waiting for the EFCC" to very his bail documents before he would be released.
